What is The Well
Long ago a well was a community meeting place that made everyday life possible. One day at a significant well in the Samaritan town Sychar a woman met Jesus. Jesus told the woman:
John 4:13-14, (NIV)
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Jesus revealed to the Samaritan woman that He is the source of living water, and only He can satisfy our desire to live life to the full. Jesus gives a whole new meaning to living. Full life isn’t about health and wealth or rules and regulations it’s about knowing Jesus and following Jesus.
The Well is the teen ministry of the Christian Church of Jasper, and It is a community of pre-teens and teens. At The Well students are challenged to know Jesus and to follow Jesus. Like the Samaritan woman pre-teens and teens can meet Jesus at the well and discover a whole new meaning to living.
