Team Members

Our ministry is made possible by our diverse team of volunteers, and becoming a team member is a simple process. If you have questions about becoming a team member, please submit an inquiry on the form below.

Team Member Opportunities

Contact Team Member

We want to contact students. Through this process, team members will contact students for the purpose of connecting them to a program or event. This includes but is not necessarily limited to: greeting students and providing information when necessary, identifying guests and directing them through the process of registration, notifying connect team members and the youth minister when guests are present.   

This requires participation in Wednesday evening programming. A person or persons who aspire to fulfill the role of Contact L.E.A.D.E.R. must arrive by 6:15 P.M. each Wednesday, attend volunteer meetings, and communicate with the youth minister when necessary.   

Connect Team Member

We want to connect with students. This includes creating authentic relationships with students that will forge and foster life-long disciples. Through this relationship, team members will become an example, an encourager, and an enabler of teens as they follow Christ.   

This requires consistent participation in Wednesday evening programming. A person or persons who aspire to fulfill the role of Connect L.E.A.D.E.R. must arrive by 6:15 P.M. each Wednesday, attend volunteer meetings, and communicate with the youth minister on a frequent basis.    

Community Leader

Manages a team of volunteers. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: serving as a resource to team members by providing guidance and support when necessary; by serving as a liaison between the youth minister and team members by communicating details and assigning roles when necessary; and by assisting in the organization and planning of the teen ministry.   

This requires frequent participation in Wednesday evening programming. A person or persons who aspire to fulfill the role of Center L.E.A.D.E.R. must arrive by 6:15 P.M. each Wednesday, attend volunteer meetings, and communicate with the youth minister on a frequent basis.   

How to Become a Team Member

Step ONE

The applicant expresses his or her desire to serve as a member of the ministry team; or is referred to the ministry by another team member or church attendee.   

Step TWO

The applicant is contacted by a member of the ministry team regarding his or her interest in the ministry, and is invited to observe a ministry program or event.   

Step THREE

The applicant is provided an application packet.   

Step FOUR

The applicant must complete and submit all of the contents of the application packet. The packet includes but may not be necessarily limited to: [1] a Youth Ministry Volunteer Application, [2] a Criminal History Authorization Form, [3] a Christian Church of Jasper Medical Release Form.   

Step FIVE

The application is promptly processed by the youth ministry assistant.   

Step SIX

The application is carefully considered by the youth minister, and a meeting is scheduled with the applicant in order to discuss and determine where the applicant could best potentially serve as a ministry team member.   

Step SEVEN

The applicant is confirmed as a ministry team member.
